Our seadoo revs up all the way but then goes to idle, even when the accelerator is pulled all the way. Why?

It was running fine the last time we used it. After a while of doing this, it doesn't want to accelerate at all, we almost had to just coast in to the dock...any suggestions are more than welcome.Our seadoo revs up all the way but then goes to idle, even when the accelerator is pulled all the way.
