Is there anyway to program a dess seadoo key without going to the dealership?

I lost the key cuz the lanyard ripped in the water. Plzz help, anyone!! Thanx in advance!!|||As Richard said..NO...there isn't..but not for the reason you think.

You will have to go to the dealer to get a new one, however; the "key fobs" aren't really programmed for any particular machine. There are a certain number of ignition assembies that are put into all machines. The dealer (if he is a larger operation) may stock one or two of each of the different "keys"..if he is a smaller dealer/marina, he may have to order one. (In theory, your key will work in other machines...you may have to try a few dozen different ones, but eventually it will start another machine)

Again, you won't have to bring your machine in to program anything, but you will need to bring in proof of ownership/serial numbers for your machine so he knows what key to give you.|||No, your stuck with the dealer. It's a part of the `anti-theft' system, and the dealer will require that your paperwork is in order. That means registration, and ID. Good Luck!

  1. No dealer around here, no other way to do it? I bought the dress key on line.
