What do you use to run a jet ski (seadoo) out of the water?

I bought an old 1994 seadoo gtx... I love it. It ran great when I pulled it out of the water last summer. But before I take it to the lake I want to crank and run it out to make sure its gonna work (because its so old). I need to know what I need to buy and what method to use to crank it safely. Also the same old gas has been in it since last year. Is is o.k. to run it with this gas in it, or should i empty it out?|||There should be a place on the 'Doo that yhou can hook up a water hose. You might need to buy a mounting kit to do this. Don't run the engine out of water. The water is what cools the engine. You'll fry the engine if you don't do this.
