I took it to a seadoo shop, and wanted to compare some peoples thoughts with there estimate. THANKS!!|||Hard too say. Did it damage the engine cases? If that bearing went, others are on there way out. That crankshaft is pressed together with the rods in place. If you're going to have it all pressed apart to change one bearing, you might as well just buy a remanufactured crank. At least then you'll know where you stand.|||i used to work at a arctic cat/polaris dealership. we had units come in with this problem every once in awhile.
you cannot replace that one bearing..... well you can, but its actually just cheaper to get another crank w/ bearings and rods pressed on. most of the time we would just offer a replacement crank/rotating assembly because it was cheaper.
remember though that dealerships have a BIG markup on products.
we had mikuni carb rebuilt kits that we sold for 50 dollars and bought for 10.
engines typically had a 20 to 30% markup so it would be feasibly cheaper to go out and find another jet ski like yours and get the engine for cheap OR find a engine off ebay or a wholesaler or "jet ski junkyard"
either way, your not gonna get out under 1400 dollars man. sorry.
